Is a Vaillant heat pump suitable for my home?
Suitability depends on your home’s heat loss, hot-water demand, existing heating system and available space. The design should consider insulation, radiator output, pipework and the position of the outdoor unit.
Some homes need radiator or cylinder changes as part of the installation. We review these requirements when preparing your proposal; the brand or output rating alone cannot confirm that a system is the right fit.
Will I need new radiators or a hot-water cylinder?
Not every radiator needs replacing. The design checks whether each room can receive enough heat at the proposed operating temperatures. Radiators that are too small for those conditions may need upgrading.
Hot-water provision also needs planning. Your existing cylinder may not be suitable for the proposed heat pump, and homes currently using a combi boiler may need space for a cylinder. Your proposal confirms the changes required.
What is included in a Vaillant heat-pump installation?
Your proposal confirms the heat pump, controls, installation work and any specified cylinder or radiator upgrades. It should also explain the outdoor-unit position and electrical arrangements.
Following installation, the system is commissioned and you are shown how to use it. Compare the full scope of work and warranty terms alongside the price, as two quotes may include different equipment or heating-system improvements.
