How do I choose the right air conditioning system?
Tell us which rooms you want to heat or cool and provide their sizes. We check the capacity, unit positions and installation requirements using your photos and a home survey if needed.
How long will the installation take?
Air conditioning installation normally takes 1 to 3 days, depending on the number of units. This is the time spent installing your system once work starts.
What warranty do I get?
The manufacturer warranty is shown with your selected package or proposal. The length and conditions depend on the equipment. Keep your handover and warranty documents.
Can I spread the cost?
The payment options for your package or proposal show any available finance plans, including the deposit, term, APR and monthly payment. Finance is subject to status and lender approval.
Can one outdoor unit serve more than one room?
Yes. A multi-split system connects several indoor units to one outdoor unit. The package shows how many indoor units are included.
What should I prepare before installation?
Clear the agreed work areas and access routes. Tell us about parking restrictions, locked gates, shared access or other work taking place at the property.
What should I send if I need aftercare help?
Contact iHeat with your order reference, a description of the issue and any error message. Photos or a short video can help our aftercare team understand the problem and arrange the next steps.
Can I repay finance early?
Contact your lender for an early settlement figure. They will confirm the amount needed to repay your finance and any charges under your agreement.
Can I choose where the indoor and outdoor units go?
Yes. Show your preferred indoor and outdoor positions in your photos. The engineer checks the pipe routes, drainage, clearances and access before confirming the positions.
Will my electricity need to be switched off?
Yes, a temporary power interruption may be needed while the system is connected and tested. Tell us before the visit about any essential electrical equipment so we can plan the work.
When will I receive my air conditioning warranty information?
You will normally receive your air conditioning warranty information within 3 to 5 working days after installation.
Can the air conditioning heat my room too?
Yes. The air conditioning systems we offer provide heating as well as cooling. Each model has its own heating and cooling capacity.
Will you show me how to use the system?
Yes. The installer will show you how to use the installed system and its controls before leaving. Keep the operating instructions for future reference.
Does my air conditioning need an annual service?
Yes. Your air conditioning needs an annual service to keep the warranty valid. Any suitably qualified AC engineer can carry out the service. Keep the service records with your warranty documents.
How noisy will the system be?
Noise levels depend on the model and fan speed. The product specifications list indoor and outdoor noise levels. Tell us about nearby bedrooms or neighbours when choosing the unit positions.
Does the price include the electrical connection?
Yes. Your fixed AC installation price includes the electrical supply from the consumer unit to the outdoor unit, the isolator and commissioning. If your answers are incorrect or the survey shows work that does not match the quote, we will explain any change before you proceed.
Why is a deposit required for a multi-split system?
Multi-split orders currently require a £100 deposit while UK stock is limited. The stock notice explains availability for your selected system. The remaining balance is due by 3pm the day before installation, or 3pm Friday for a Monday installation.
What time will my engineer arrive?
Your engineer will normally arrive between 7am and 9:30am. We will call you at least the day before installation to confirm the arrangements.
Is my air conditioning price fixed, including electrics?
Yes. Your fixed AC installation price includes the electrical supply from the consumer unit to the outdoor unit, the isolator and commissioning. If your answers are incorrect or the survey shows work that does not match the quote, we will explain any change before you proceed.
How soon can my air conditioning be installed?
Installation availability depends on the system, stock and the checks needed for your home. Your quote shows the current stock information and available date options. A multi-split deposit does not confirm an installation date.
Will I need a home survey?
Single-room installations are checked using your photos. For multi-split systems, the engineer decides whether a home survey is needed. If no home survey is required, we can proceed once your photos are approved.
What size are the indoor units in a multi-room package?
The package or proposal lists the number and capacity of the indoor units. The outdoor unit's kW rating is the system capacity, not the output of each indoor unit. We check the room-by-room requirements before installation.
Will the pipework be covered, and will you repair any holes?
Trunking to cover the pipework is included. We also make good the holes created during installation, but you may still need to touch up the paint or decorating afterwards.
When is my AC deposit refundable?
Your deposit is refundable before the survey, if the installation is unsuitable, if you decline a higher price following the survey, or if finance is declined. If you simply change your mind after the survey, the deposit covers the completed survey, subject to your statutory rights. Refunds normally take 3 to 5 working days, often sooner.
